The company employees you’ll be talking to will take your conversation seriously and you should, too. It’s important to conduct your conversations in a way that encourages company insiders to help you get a job interview and continued advice and help after your first conversation.

(4.7) Best Questions To Ask Company Insiders To Get The Information & Help You Want
To get the most benefit from your conversations with company insiders, it’s important to carefully choose the questions you’ll ask BEFORE your conversation.
To help you get the specific information and referrals you want, I’ve formulated a list of questions you can ask. Which questions you should ask will depend on who you are talking to and your goals for the conversation.
(4.8) Steal These Sample Thank You Notes
People who feel appreciated and valued are more likely to remember you, provide you with more assistance in your job search, and recommend you to others.
Within two days following each conversation, send a thank you letter or email to the person you spoke to and (if applicable) the person who introduced you.
