Job Summary
An entry‐level system engineer position working in a team environment to deploy, upgrade and monitor computing systems and Greenway proprietary products.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Install and upgrade Greenway‐developed software for end‐user use
- Install and upgrade 3rd party components required by Greenway‐developed software
- Install Windows OS using good principles
- Monitor Windows OS using performance monitor and event manager, as well as 3rd party monitoring tools
- Deploy patches to Windows OS
- Troubleshoot system issues, correct minor issues, and recommend solutions to larger issues
- Respond to 2nd‐tier trouble tickets, and follow‐through to completion or escalate as required
- Deploy, monitor and troubleshoot server hardware solutions.
- Participate in an on-call rotation
- Other duties as assigned
Education
- BA/BS in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent technical school education or 1 to 3 years’ experience without.

SUMMARY
The Systems Analyst will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve systems issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments. This is a blended technical and user-facing role.
COMPETENCIES
- Assist in the planning, design, and development of new applications and enhancements to existing core services and applications.
- Meet with decision-makers, systems owners, and end-users to define business requirements, systems goals, and timelines.
- Identify and resolve business systems issues.
- Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
- Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
- Assist the deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.
- Conduct research on hardware and software products to justify recommendations and support purchasing efforts.
- Create system design proposals.
- Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.
- Create systems models, specifications, diagrams and charts to provide direction to system developers.
- Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.
- Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- 4+ years of proven experience designing, deploying, and managing core information systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Working technical knowledge of data modeling techniques including conceptual, logical, and physical.
- Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including MacOS and ChromeOS.
- Working knowledge of current tools to facilitate data analysis including SQL, DbVisualizer, Navicat, etc.
- Good project management skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
