About the Team

About the Role

The Senior Sales Strategy Associate will play a critical role in Harry’s continued success at retail and specifically for our business at Walmart. This multi-dimensional customer facing position will be responsible for managing all aspects of demand planning and strategic analysis for Harry’s and our retail partners. As this role will work across internal and external teams, it requires strong collaboration skills and attention to detail to ensure efficient and accurate results.

What you will accomplish:

  • Provide the primary customer and internal analytic support for our business at Walmart
  • Possess a deep understanding of shipment and consumption data in analyzing daily/weekly/annual trends at the customer level and provide knowledge on the competitive marketplace as well by building primary reports.
  • Develop into a “storyteller” – interpret the data and tell a story with it. Be an independent thinker with great communication skills.
  • Manage weekly scorecards for internal tracking of retail business as well as Joint Business Planning scorecard with external retail partners.
  • Conduct Monthly Performance summaries of our business in the retail channel for internal and external needs.
  • Assist in day to day analytical support for the retail business, building content driven reports and presentation decks. Be the go to for ad-hoc retail reporting.
  • Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with key stakeholders to drive efficiencies.

This should describe you:

We are looking for a talented Sales Strategy & Planning Analyst to join our team to support the growth of DoorDash’s sales and partner management teams. You’ll work cross-functionally between our sales, finance, and operations teams to create clear targets, forecasting, compensation designs, and strategies to build the merchant foundation and scale our sales engine.
As our Sales Strategy & Planning Analyst you will combine strategic planning and analysis with operational execution.
Responsibilities will range from strategic (designing compensation plans aligned to company objectives and strategy and building consensus among sales leadership) to operational/tactical (driving plan implementation and ensuring metrics can be tracked and monitored in an auditable system). You will lend critical analytical and technical support to the successful administration of sales compensation programs globally while proactively building partnerships, fostering open dialogue and providing creative solutions to issues in real time.

What you’ll do Build clear targets and goals for the sales organization and drive planning around headcount, revenue, and other key priorities. Work closely with sales leadership, sales strategy, finance, and HR/legal teams to align on and be responsible for the development, implementation and administration of new and existing sales compensation plans. Ensure compensation plans are effectively supporting the various business goals and strategies. Collaborate with senior leaders to provide strategic recommendations and solutions on comp plan design, structure and pilots.
Manage the monthly commission process for the sales team. This could include managing a team and their monthly processes around data compilation, commission/bonus calculations, statement distribution, data integrity, and compliance with policy and plans. Focus on improving standardization, automation, and scalability initiatives to generate a high-level of accuracy and efficiency in the commissions/bonuses and data-gathering process Become the subject matter expert on all sales compensation plans, while also gaining a comprehensive understanding of the sales process and drivers for each business unit we support. Oversee completeness, processing and analysis of sales compensation software platform .

Pepsi Beverages Company (PBC) is PepsiCo’s beverage manufacturing, sales and distribution operating unit in the United States, Canada and Mexico. This position will be part of the CCTO – National Retail Sales Organization.

The Sales Associate Analyst will work with members of a National Customer Team to achieve sales growth and profit objectives (Volume, Net Revenue, Profit – both for PepsiCo and the Customer). This will be achieved through the following key areas:

  • Building effective relationships with the customer team is critical to success and therefore requires the Analyst to link with key contacts within the customer team to ensure strong customer based execution of tactical programs.
  • Building and maintaining TPM planning models and communicating changes to internal finance staff to ensure alignment
  • Ensuring that aligned events that require on-ticket pricing changes and/or off-ticket adjustments are entered into all applicable systems in a timely manner (TPM/Deal/Customer Portals)
  • Becoming aware of business trends, economic conditions, customer developments, competitive activities, historical category learnings etc. to make forecast recommendations and highlight potential issues within the current Customer build
  • Assisting in delivery of planned net revenue, trade spend and MC objectives, in a manner that is consistent with the strategic direction for the business
  • Completing regular CDA and trade spend reconciliation reviews on a weekly/period and quarterly basis as well as regular pricing deduction reconciliation
  • Having the responsibility for ensuring the forecast is accurate and reflects the latest thinking on in-market execution and underlying performance trends

Qualifications/Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 2-3 Years DSD(Sales or Operations) Experience(Field Sales, Customer Service, Delivery Operations, Supply Chain); Interaction and understanding of Demand Planning & Supply Chain
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to understand and translate delivery performance, identify opportunity & risks, and adjust develop and implement detailed accurate forecasts for demand/supply team
  • Communication: Strong communication skills and collaboration skills with PBC regions, Franchise bottlers, and Customer
  • Time Management/Organization: Solid capability to manage and prioritize schedule
  • Support Systems Literacy: Computer literacy, Excel, Power Point, Word, ERT, Business Objects(SAP), Document Viewer, Local Order Entry(LOE), willingness and ability to learn/quickly adapt to other internal support systems
