The Senior Associate or Director will report to the Northeast Regional Head of Retail. This position will be accountable for the bottom-line performance of a portfolio of retail and mixed use real estate assets across multiple retail sub-types. Key Responsibilities / Duties:
 
  • Accountable for the bottom-line financial performance of a portfolio of retail assets by setting and executing asset level strategy and by overseeing 3rd party leasing/property management functions and associated operational performance
  • Direct third party service providers including property managers, leasing brokers and development/construction personnel for wholly-owned properties
  • Engage with operating partners within various joint venture structures to ensure alignment through best-in-class leasing, management and reporting
  • Participate in the timely production of reports apprising senior management of major changes in property fundamentals and competitive positioning
  • Drive asset performance and maximize value by conceiving and executing on 5 year strategic business plans
  • Prepare and/or review annual asset business plans, operating budgets and capital budgets as well as monitoring budget to actual performance throughout the year
  • Produce annual sell/hold assessments and assist in presenting recommendations to the portfolio management team and limited partners
  • Present property activities and financial results to third party investors and portfolio management on a regular basis and execute associated approval process for major decisions
