Specific Responsibilities

  • Support the overall ad product strategy for the new direct-to-consumer streaming service, including: ideation, competitive analysis, market overview, business planning and positioning that enables NBCU to maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Holistically understand core problems and requirements from clients/agencies, consumers, sales and support.
  • Manage and explore partnership opportunities with relevant industry players to improve business driven product KPIs.
  • Identify new ad product opportunities from industry trends/challenges and perform market/competitive analysis to inform product decisions and roadmap.
  • Building business cases for new ad products and features and prioritizing needs based on company objectives.
  • Partner with various functions within the direct-to-consumer product team and within the company including technology, sales, marketing, insights, strategy and operations to successfully position products and features for optimal client use and growth.
  • Serve as product expert in internal strategic discussions with product and ad sales leadership.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of ad product management experience

About the role

Reporting directly to the Director of Product Strategy, the Senior Analyst is responsible for working closely with Merchandising leadership to support LRP growth plans and initiatives that make those strategies come to life.
The Product Strategy Senior Analyst will support the development of growth strategies for the division through guidance and insights tied to current business performance and market trends.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of the position are listed below:

  • Lead analysis for strategic initiatives and present findings and recommendations to executive leadership.This requires a deep

  • Develop and manage financial product forecasts. Measure performance and profitability against plans. Track performance indicators, monitor trends, and maintain reporting.
  • Develop and maintain Competitive Insights tracking.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments (Marketing, Technology, Finance, and Legal).

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in quantitative field (e.g., math, statistics, economics or engineering)
  • 3-5 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, or analytics in financial services organization preferred
  • High degree of comfort with modeling (preferably financial modeling), scenario analysis, working with large volumes of data, and building analyses from the ground up
  • Working knowledge of SQL and QlikView/QlikSense is preferred. Programming experience in other languages (e.g. SAS, R, Python, Stata, etc.) is a plus.
  • Experience working with executive leadership and internal/external partners
