Responsibilities:

  • Participate in meetings with client services and creative teams
  • Consult with creative, account and legal staffs from inception of ideas through completion of projects as to logistics and feasibilities of the projects including timing and budgetary constraints
  • Identify potential legal issues and interfaces with agency counsel and talent advisors to resolve issues
  • Evaluate, solicit and negotiate bids with cast performers (on and off-camera), production, music through post-production and trafficking
  • Award jobs to talent & vendors, based on companies judged to be best qualified to handle the project at hand
  • Submit cost estimates to account management for client approval
  • Control the approved budget through all phases of production
  • Supervise and train broadcast business managers on daily broadcast activities, like assigning ISCI codes, production, trafficking of broadcast materials, reporting SAG/AFTRA talent, issues POs, involve approval, network clearance, avoidance of penalties, union and non-union contracts
  • Maintain and oversee records of all commercials, by TV and radio, as to year of production, talent and upcoming expiration of commercials
  • Inform supervisor on a day-to-day basis of new projects, developments and issues on all assigned projects and staff
  • Manage agency video library for storage of film, tape masters and TV/radio scripts
  • Ensure masters of completed commercials are sent to NY and Corporate Communications and that agency video library is up to date and organized
  • Knowledgeable in the latest production techniques, sources, production house capabilities, production cost factors, union and non-union issues
  • Attend and direct pre-pro meetings, the shooting, production and post –production of television commercials when 2 or more DRTV television production jobs are in-house or upon assignment from supervisor
  • Process SAG, AFTRA, AFM union payments to performers appearing in radio and television commercials as produced by agency from initial session fees to use and reuse
  • Renegotiate SAG and/or special contracts at expiration of commercials and assists in preparation of SAG contracts and special contract letters
  • Maintain master file of all contracts and renewals
 
Qualifications

 

 
  • 5+ years of experience within a broadcast or agency environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant experience required.
  • Computer proficiency (Mac and PC); knowledge of Excel, MS Word, Quark, and comfortable learning new systems
  • Strong knowledge of production and scheduling process

Description
You will develop and implement our advertising across channels to support integrated efforts, including review and routing of advertising briefs and concepts to ensure quality and accuracy from a legal and product perspective and review and approval of localization strategies and script translations with our international offices. Lead confidential launch initiatives while working to maintain security and secrecy through the duration of the project, schedule product briefings, secure products from Product Marketing, manage and main- tain disclosure lists, and maintain strict security procedures on set and with our vendors. At Left Foot Blue, Producers are naturals at balancing (Projects), wearing many hats (Project Management, Account Management, Line Producing, Post-Producing) and pulling rabbits out of hats. Our Producers can rock a pre-pro meeting, run a voice over session, lead a client review, actualize a budget, and set up for a shoot, all on the same day without breaking a sweat.
