Responsibilities of the Personal Trainer:

TotalBodyFit is hiring certified personal trainers on an independent contractor basis for onsite in-home services or virtual training in NYC and Brooklyn (Williamsburg area). Instructors must have a CPR certification and liability insurance up to date.

Historically classes have been held onsite (at client’s home gym/apartment), but because of COVID-19 we are now offering safe social distancing outdoor workout packages. Sessions run for 1 hour and in occasions the trainer will be using the Zoom platform for remote lessons if need be.

    Hi personal trainers!

    We are a group of Stanford university researchers that co founded Surge, a startup company whose mission is to prepare patients for surgery.

    Surgery is a big deal, a huge stress and trauma for the body, It’s a little bit like running a marathon, and you wouldn’t run a marathon without training.

    Training people before surgery is basically surgical prehab. We built a prehab program at Stanford for the past 2 years, based on Nutrition, Fitness, Mindfulness and Cognition training to support our patients before surgery and help them cope better with the surgical stress.

    We are looking for personal trainers in California who are willing to work remotely to coach our patients.

    The position requires to coach patients live (from 30min to 1h weekly sessions) and asynchronously through our app using our content (Nutrition, fitness, cognition and mindfulness).

    We are looking for trainers who love supporting people during a challenging time in their life and make a real difference in people’s lives. It sounds cheezy but this is what we experienced coaching our patients for the past two years since the beginning of the Surge program.
