KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS include the following:

  • Assist in the preparation of samples to be presented to customers
  • Receive and send specifications and layouts to vendors for making samples.

Job Duties

  • The primary responsibility of this position is to take existing design concepts and apply it over a range of packaging and products. Product files must then be sent to our manufacturers.

We’re looking for a Production/Inventory Manager to help create processes and define benchmarks for Infinite Objects as we grow. This is an opportunity to significantly impact our day to day operations and eventually develop a team of direct reports.

  • Create, manage, and maintain internal and overseas product assembly
  • Manage product delivery and production calendar, and ensure all internal and external partners are updated on timelines
  • Manage our network of product and packaging vendors and eventually take over all daily communications
  • Tracking, receiving, and QC of all inventory including products and packaging
  • Maintaining inventory of all assembly and fulfillment materials
  • Oversee quality control by tracking and reporting on defect rates

ABOUT THE TEAM AND ROLE

The Lukens Company (TLC) is an award-winning full-service direct response agency that is seeking a Production Manager to join our nonprofit practice in our Arlington, VA office. The nonprofit practice partners with a variety of museums, animal welfare organizations, social welfare organizations, aquariums, zoos, faith-based missions, and other clients staffed by awesome people looking to make a difference in the world. The Production Manager will focus on print production for nonprofit direct mail marketing.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

    • Assisting members of the account team in managing the print and production of direct mail projects
    • Opening jobs in our production management system and maintaining status
    • Reviewing and coordinating production schedules with Account Managers to meet deadlines
    • Continually monitoring the status of all works in progress to ensure delivery is on time and within the estimated budget
    • Managing and coordinating all work (data, artwork, copy, print proofs, postage, etc.) between outside vendors and the account teams
    • Reviewing and routing set ups (laser sign offs) and print proofs for direct mail projects
    • Ensuring quality and accuracy of production sign offs through the TLC proofing system
    • Completing the billing process by facilitating and finalizing costs and invoices for each project
    • Attending the campaign kickoff meeting with the account teams
