CMI/Compas is seeking an Information Architecture Manager/Developer to join our team. We are interested in speaking with candidates that have a passion for modern information development supporting analytics application development. Our core focus is building scalable web applications specifically in the area analytics and promotional resource allocation. Our team allows our developers to work closely with analysts and influence their projects. We encourage team collaboration, agile methodology and a typical day can include project planning, architectural discussion, and pair coding.
The role will include contributing to the overall strategy, design and development of our internal and external information architecture including big and unstructured. A key responsibility will be to support new customer facing products including those that optimize marketing campaign decisions, leverage traditional marketing data, look to integrate evolving market intelligence and advanced data types such as unstructured large data sets.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Information architecture design and development within an AWS Redshift environment

Program trading applications is a plus

  • Contribute to the development of CMI Compas overall information architecture
  • Identify, analyze and architect CMI/Compas strategic data sets
  • Develop process requirements and implement data loading/update processes
  • Develop requirement and implement validation, QC and data governance processes
  • Develop and follow standards and guidelines for all ETL design and development. This includes workflow architecture, naming conventions for source and targets, maps, sessions and parameters.
  • Maintain our databases both from ETL perspective and DBA
  • Follow developments in open source and research for ideas to borrow and contribute.

Skills & Requirements:

We are looking for a senior strategic leader to be the “Head of Information Architecture” in Ratings Technology organization who will be responsible for data analysis, data architecture, data modeling, development and governance of principles and standards that impact how data elements are developed and managed across the enterprise. This role is responsible for leading the execution of S&P Ratings data Strategy such that it meets the needs for various business functions across its transactional, operational & analytical applications. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise with data management technologies and a desire to drive change through data alignment across the enterprise. Responsibilities

  • 10+ years of experience in handling Enterprise Data Models, Governance and Quality
  • 8+ years of experience in leading the teams, technical people management
  • 8+ year of Hands-on experience contributing to data/application architecture & designs, proven software/enterprise integration design patterns and full-stack knowledge including modern distributed front end and back end technology stacks
  • Extensive Data modelling / ontology / taxonomy / metadata experience; specifically designing logical models / ontologies / data dictionaries from both business requirements and reverse-engineering
