WHAT WE DO

  • The Art team works on all creative related to Rockstar Games and games publishing. This can range from designing a game’s logo and key art through to branding, merchandising, and everything in between.
  • We work very closely with teams across all of publishing, as well as our development studios worldwide.
  • Our designs are often the first thing people see on any Rockstar game and we take great pride in creating artwork for this unique and iconic brand.
  • We are lovers of culture and creativity across all forms of media and our work gives Rockstar’s products their unique look and feel from stickers and special edition packaging to giant billboards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop key art images for packaging, advertising, print and the web.
  • Develop character illustrations from concept and sketches to finished product.
  • Mimic pre-existing art styles.
  • Develop new art styles.
  • Develop branding-based illustrations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Very strong working knowledge of Photoshop.
  • Working knowledge of Illustrator and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of print and production processes is advantageous.
  • Passion for contemporary culture, including video games, film and art.

SKILLS

  • Exceptional traditional life drawing and painting skills. Knowledge of anatomy, perspective, composition, and use of color is essential.
  • Exceptional sketching ability for developing illustration concepts.

Technical Illustrator

Most of the illustration produced by this role will be the indexing of illustrations. However, this role will create or modify simple technical illustrations. Under supervision, more advanced illustrations will be created, as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Creates and/or modify technical illustrations according to customer guidelines and/or project plans from mark-ups, photos, files, etc.
  • Completes assignments according to company processes and procedures and within established deadlines
  • Indexes illustrations according to departmental processes and procedures
  • Responsible for communicating project status to immediate supervisor and other internal departments
  • Creates technical illustrations according to customer and internal specifications using photo-imaging software and pseudo-vector graphics software

Job Description

Develops, designs, lays out, and produces a variety of technical illustrations and 3D graphics for technical publication products, programs and systems. Provides expertise for resolving technical problems and modifies engineering data to meet customer requirements in conformance with established quality standards. Develops and creates orthographic, isometric, and perspective drawings using engineering drawings/models, photographs, or rough sketches to produce technical illustrations and 3D graphics.

Overall responsibilities for the Illustrator will be to perform graphic related activities for the development and sustainment of technical publications

Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4.

Basic Qualifications for a level 3:
