As the Curriculum Developer at Strive, you’ll have the opportunity to develop the curriculum and pedagogy to transform managers into leaders. You will work directly with Strive’s customer success lead, CEO and team of trained facilitators to create dynamic learning experiences that help our participants reach their developmental and professional goals.

In this role, your focus will include:

  • Curriculum Design – Create rich and detailed interactive curricula for leadership skills essential to success in the modern workforce—building upon (or rebuilding) our existing frameworks and shaping curricular strategy for Strive. Design for multiple modalities (in-person and remote classes) for learners around the world.
  • Pedagogy – Build pedagogy and teacher’s kits to help Strive’s coaches and facilitators teach exceptional, interactive classes built around principles of active learning.
  • Testing & Iterating – Manage ongoing improvement of curricula, by listening closely to both internal and external stakeholders. Determine ongoing assessments to measure the quality of our curriculum, as well as student engagement.

ABOUT YOU

  • Teaching experience (university, classroom, in-company facilitation) strongly preferred
  • 3+ years in curriculum design, instructional design and/or L&D

Are you an experienced instructional designer with strong skills in synthesizing content, creating story-driven learning, and collaborating constructively with faculty? The New School, N Ventures is seeking a strong instructional designer to work on new program development projects.

About the Company:
N Ventures is a new business enterprise for The New School. The entitys mission is to identify opportunities to extend the university brand through partnerships focused on extending access to our educational pedagogy and new enterprises such as licensing with the goal of generating scalable revenue opportunities. This is a start-up so the environment is fast-paced and hands-on. The On Demand Learning team within N Ventures focuses on bringing the world class education of the New School online through partnerships with platforms like Coursera, Futurelearn, and Yellowbrick.

As an instructional designer for N Ventures you will work closely with our partners and internal team to develop our on-demand education programming with a focus on supporting faculty and other subject matter experts to develop asynchronous learning that follows the criteria of our partnered platforms. This role requires the ability to synthesize research and other source materials into clear learning outcomes and proven experience in developing compelling learner-friendly content. accessible content.

A successful instructional designer will have extensive, demonstrative experience building and designing asynchronous learning content from scratch. Candidates must be able to manage the end to end production process for a program from content ideation and story arc creation all the way through to post production, assessment, and evaluation. An ideal candidate also has an eye toward new program opportunities and process efficiencies. Prior experience in asynchronous learning, development editing, or script writing preferred. Comfort working in a startup environment required.

Responsibilities

Program Development

  • Work closely with faculty and N Ventures staff to develop story arc for asynchronous learning programs, distilling key lessons from existing content for target audience
  • Identify and find additional sources as needed, to support specific content objectives, with guidance from subject matter experts and faculty
  • Adhere to timelines and coordinate closely with project managers
  • Develop syllabi in line with platform requirements and The New School pedagogy, editing as required based on feedback
  • Develop storyboard and scripts for video production
  • Develop assessments and provide recommendations for supplementary content, such as readings, assignments, discussion board questions, quizzes, etc

About the Role

OpenMind is embarking on a new phase of product development where we are adapting our existing product into an expanded set of blended learning experiences focused on enduring behavior/culture change. The Curriculum Developer will play a critical role in this process by working collaboratively with our integrated product/research team and advisors to translate complex behavioral science research into engaging, practical, and impactful content. We are looking for a creative, dynamic, and fast-learning Curriculum Developer who has deep knowledge of educational design principles and a knack for designing engaging content. Key Responsibilities:

Online learning

  • You will work with OpenMind’s integrated product/research team and advisors to develop highly engaging and impactful online training. You will work closely with key members of the team to define specific learning objectives and bring the best behavioral science research to life through engaging educational content.
  • You will take the lead on designing a pedagogical framework that will flow through our products. You will ensure that existing and new products maintain this consistent pedagogical framework.

In-person exercises

This role is equal parts educational copywriting, resource building (including tools, quick guides, and other educational materials), and editing. The DEO is a membership organization that connects dental entrepreneurs with the people, education and resources to achieve their goals and fulfill their vision.

This is a full-time position 35-40 hours per week. The Instructional designer directly contributes to the mission of the organization by being the primary liaison with industry subject matter experts (SMEs). This role focuses primarily on the analysis and design portion of the ADDIE Model (we have a team of creative rockstars to support the development!). Responsibilities

  • Support Learning & Development team in the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of DEO member resources

Curriculum Consultant
CVS Health – Lincoln, RI
As a Curriculum Consultant, you will design and develop courses and curriculum across a variety of delivery methods (instructor-led, web-based, self-paced, etc.) as well as collaborate with trainers, subject matter experts, and curriculum designers to continually improve training.The Curriculum Consultant supports the program measurement strategy to evaluate the impact of training including use of LMS and apply ADDIE or comparable instructional design processes.The Curriculum Consultant also may deliver training (instructor-led courses in classroom via webcast) as needed, administer tests and performance checks, provide 1:1 coaching, coordinate with business partners and stakeholders, and report results and issues as needed.

The ideal candidate will posses:

  • Learning and Development experience in a corporate or business setting
  • Experience working with multiple internal and external customers, senior management, and subject matter experts
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Experience developing, evaluating and updating training material

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of curriculum design experience
  • 1+ year experience with web development tools such as Storyline, Articulate, Captivate and Camtasia
  • 2+ years of experience in the Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Power Point
  • Assessment writing experience
