Anheuser-Busch is seeking a Sr. Manager, Innovation & Analytics to lead and implement the organizational innovation agenda in North America through technological capabilities. The person will set up and run idea generation platforms across functions including Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain to identify revenue building solutions. Summary

The Chief Innovation Officer (CINO) is a strategic innovation expert who will provide technical guidance and advice to the Department’s technology innovation initiatives.

Responsibilities

As the Chief Innovation Officer, you will:

  • Be the Executive responsible for defining and fostering a culture of innovation across the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) that attracts successful innovators and entrepreneurs.
  • Be expected to be well versed in all facets of strategy, solution design, product development, and business growth through innovation, and a seasoned industry leader.
  • Identify, develop, and execute a high-impact, department-wide innovation strategy.
  • Manage a balanced portfolio of sustaining and distributing initiatives focused on product, service, process, and business model innovation and support the Department’s direction, goals, and priorities.

THE ROLE
We are looking for a leader who will fight for educational equity by leading a unique team at Teach For America Las Vegas. You will lead Xtraordinary, the innovation wing of our work that is launching, testing, and iterating new ideas to determine the best path forward to achieving a new future of education in Nevada. You will work with the strategic innovations team that is ready to scale the work. Having already designed a self-directed design thinking platform for teachers and students, a digital social-emotional learning assessment, and a reimagined R&D fellowship with math teachers, designers, and developers, we have so much to build on.
We are looking for a proven leader with experience in design thinking, education, and entrepreneurship. You must be somebody who is comfortable taking risks, failing along the way, and learning through the process. As the leader of ed.Xtraordianry, you also act as an external face of our organization in the Las Vegas community. Your ability to navigate educator, school, district, and partner relationships will be critical. THE PERSON
Vision & Strategy (20%)

  • Refine our Theory of Action, Strategic Plans, and Capacity allocations to achieve the vision of ed.Xtraordinary- the innovation wing of Teach For America Las Vegas

Team Management / Leadership Development (30%)

  • Manage the ed. Xtraordinary team which at this point in time includes two direct reports. In doing so, ensure direct reports grow in skills of management, program design, and R&D work. Ensure clarity of individual and team responsibility
  • Create a repository of innovative tools for the Strategic Innovations team (project management, budget management, strategic planning, personnel management, reporting learnings, etc.) in the first 6 months
  • Focus on building the culture of success for this “start-up” within our organization

  • Lead and coordinate team finances, contracts, budget management, and compliance
  • work with TFA’s national Legal and Risk Compliance team to vet project viability and success

  • Develop community partnerships with senior leaders who enable innovation work (UNLV, CCSD, etc)
  • Build the coalition (in year 1:20-30 community leaders we consistently partner with on our innovation work. continue to grow; potentially an innovation advisory council)
  • Understand the regulatory/policy/political landscape and how to navigate it

Pilot(s) 25%

  • Alongside direct reports, launch your own pilot innovation(s) that address a key need identified in our community
  • Go through the design process to mine the learnings and share with the team
  • Determine a project to scale
  • Design and conduct iterative research and write up comprehensive results and communicate actionable insights into the Strategic Innovations team

THE MUST-HAVES
Prior Experience

  • Experience in the field of PreK-12 education strongly preferred
  • Previous experience managing individuals and teams required
  • Experience in Southern Nevada’s education ecosystem strongly preferred
  • Work experience in the Clark County School District preferred
  • Previous experience launching new initiatives in non-profit, education, or similar field required
  • Previous experience with design thinking preferred
  • Previous experience leading research experiments and using the data from the experiment to drive decision making
  • Experience integrating user research into product designs and design practices.
