  • Attending initial client meetings and site visits with Operations Manager and Account Managers
  • Interfacing with clients regarding scheduling and installation
  • Scheduling all labor associated with assigned projects

  • Verifying that all power, data, and infrastructure needs are coordinated

Qualifications include:

  • Experience in managing AV installation projects and construction is a must

Full Job Description

We’re seeking an AV Technology Manager to join our New York Flagship location.

THE COMPANY REQUIRES ALL EMPLOYEES TO BE FULLY VACCINATED AGAINST COVID-19.

Five-star amenity and conference center focused on personalized service and wellness, outfitted with state-of-the-art meeting spaces, café/lounge areas, functional fitness facilities, and a curated, locally sourced food and beverage program.

Or amenity and conference center plays host to a client’s every need from concierge booking of hybrid & virtual meetings to managing state-of-the-art in-house audiovisual events to curating seasonal catering and managing the flow for every meeting.

As the AV Technology Manager, you will be working hands-on supporting and developing virtual and hybrid events for the amenity and conference center. You’ll be expected to maintain integrity and consistency across each event, understand the ins-and-outs of event production, and help realize the vision of the client. As the lead charge for all client and project related information, your main responsibilities will involve setting up teams for success across all departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Production:

  • Offering insight on production elements for complex virtual, hybrid and experiential events
  • Leading internal and third-party production teams through the virtual/hybrid event execution process
  • Managing production logistics and the determined deliverables of each event
  • Assisting with setups for live/hybrid productions when applicable following the company’s stringent COVID-19 safety protocols and OSHA regulations

Client Management:

  • Preserving and promoting strong client relationships among the team
  • Sharing client goals, updates and challenges to help achieve a mutually supportive environment
  • Understanding and keeping up with the client’s business and industry
  • Managing client expectations on budget, timelines, event progress, etc.

Budgeting:

  • Creating budgets, working with production, creative, and technical teams to adequately scope for each project
  • Providing weekly updates on hours/budget within each event
  • Approving vendor/contractor invoices against budgeted line items

Project Management:

  • Managing assigned teams and workflows while following approved SOWs and budget
  • Managing all data tracking, measurement and analytics related to event operations, attendees, registration, viewership, impact and data flow integrations
  • Establishing timelines and expectations with operations staff in line with client expectations
  • Attending regular meetings and reporting agenda items, regular check-ins
  • Creating project briefs for production or program meetings
  • Overseeing weekly status updates with interdepartmental teams and/or supervisor
  • Providing debrief summary report, including (but not limited to): agenda, key takeaways, challenges, areas of improvement, budget spend against allocated

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of live/virtual event production experience
  • Experience with event broadcast and live streaming from venues
  • Expert organizational, documentation, and communication skills (written, verbal, visual)
  • Extensive understanding of project management, creative development, team management.
  • Demonstrated expertise with virtual event/webinar/content hosting platforms like WebEx, Google Meet/Hangouts, Zoom, Vimeo, YouTube, and other similar streaming services with a proven understanding of system integrations in order to support large-scale digital base events
  • Prior experience with virtual event platforms and tools like Bizzabo, On24, Hopin, StreamYard, Socio, etc.
  • Experience working with large scale conference programs, global, and virtual events for 1,000+ attendees
  • Hands-on experience with AV engineering and a solid knowledge of audio and video signal flow, lighting, video/audio mixers and streaming equipment
  • Working knowledge of Crestron, Dante, AoIP, VoIP, Digital Signage, Cisco Codecs, and streaming protocols (WebRTC, SRT, RTMP, SIP)
  • Certifications for CTS, Dante, & Crestron preferred
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office (Excel/PPT) and Google Docs

As the AV Project Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • The capability of managing and documenting new AV setups and project changes.
  • Focus on bringing projects to completion in a timely manner and within budget.
  • Ability to manage AV project from initiation to closure adhering to strict project timelines ranging from months to years.
  • Gather client requirements and the scope of work, and acquire appropriate sign off for the AV projects.
  • Serve as a point of contact between Project Managers and client stakeholders.
  • Maintain Statements of Work (SOWs) for 3rd party delivery partners (AV Integrators, etc).
  • Use internally available tools to track project progress and maintain accurate tracking data.
  • Work with AV integrator(s) as needed to secure materials and labor over the course of a project.
  • Coordinate project meetings and prepare meeting agenda, document meeting minutes, monitor completion of agreed action items and project plan tasks and maintain project cost reports as required.
  • Familiarity with commercial construction documents and blueprints a plus.
  • Provide assistance to the company and personal devices with connecting to network and displays in conference rooms.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.

Skills and Experience:
