The Pace University Small Business Development Center’s (SBDC) mission is to provide in-depth and confidential one-to-one business advisement, training and market research to help small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs launch or grow their business. Our center’s no-cost services include helping our clients to access financing; develop business plans and financial projections; identify procurement opportunities, in particular for minority and women-owned businesses; and implement strategies for increasing sales.

In addition to providing advisory services in the above areas, the Business Advisor will be the Pace SBDC lead in delivering counseling on marketing issues to our small business clients. Further, the Business Advisor will work closely with the Pace SBDC director to develop content and manage the center’s website and social media sites to build awareness of the Pace SBDC and its services and collaborate with marketing efforts of the NY SBDC network.

Position Duties
      • Provide one-to-one counseling to small business clients and entrepreneurs in one or more of the following areas:
      • Coronavirus loan & grant program review & assistance
      • Marketing guidance, including launching/improving a client website, search engine optimization, eCommerce, and targeted social media and email marketing strategies.
      • Assistance in the analysis and preparation of financial statements, cash flow projections, income statements, sources and uses statements, etc.
      • Business plan development
  • Collaborate with Pace SBDC director to coordinate the center’s marketing initiatives
  • Implement and/or participate in Pace SBDC-sponsored small business workshops
  • Help small business clients to access key demographic, economic, and other key market research through the NYS SBDC Research Network.
  • Performs other such duties as assigned from time to time.
Position Qualifications
  • Experience counseling small businesses, or owning/managing a small business

Agent Success Advisor, M&A
Compass

As an Agent Success Advisor, M&A, you will be part of the “on-the-ground” team leading the day-to-day operational integration of boutique brokerage acquisitions. You will be at the center of our efforts to connect newly acquired agents with Compass’ technology, culture and processes. for High School Programming
JED is seeking a full-time Senior Advisor for High School Programming to play a key role in our growing organization and support our expanding portfolio of work with high schools across the country. The position reports to the Director of High School Programming.

Strategy and Program Development:

  • Conduct systematic reviews of high school-based mental health assessments, mental health programming, and suicide prevention programs and resources and make recommendations for adoption to the Director of High School Programming
  • Conduct periodic systematic reviews and scans of trends in high school health / mental health and state and federal legislation related to mental health education and programming in schools to inform the continued development of the High School Program
  • Collaborate with a range of internal staff and external partners (including JED Campus team, marketing/communications, external vendors, organizational partners, etc.)
  • Collaborate with High School Director to:
    • Manage systematic integration of Set to Go and JED Campus activities
    • Set up and manage evaluation measures and data collection mechanisms for the high school program
    • Manage and run meetings with advisory board of experts working in high school and mental health settings

Resource Development and Dissemination:

  • Develop new resources, including guides and webinars, on mental health and the transition to college for high schools, students, and families
