POSITION SUMMARY: Provides leadership in project execution and design of new or existing systems or applications across multiple functional, system, or module areas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Development and design of system architecture
Develop an understanding of the performance of the system with current limitations or bottlenecks
Leads system performance analysis utilizing trends, system metrics, and current business transactions, traffic, or usage through the system. From this analysis diagnose or make recommendations for improvements
Understand future business growth needs and determines impacts and risks to the system
Understand project or release requirements and determine impacts and risks to the system
Provide cost-effective architecture recommendations to support the system’s growth, maintain system stability and provide a good user performance experience
These recommendations could be infrastructure changes, software to support the application, or configuration recommendations. Solutions or recommendations should also take into account scalability for future growth needs.
Research and Identify new technologies to improve system performance and availability.
Leads or assists technology and product assessments, performing evaluations as required and making acquisition recommendations.
Provides load testing requirements and participates in load testing for releases or any targeted load testing to evaluate performance or determining capacity for future growth.
Create and maintain architecture-related artifacts for existing and new solutions.
Identifies and develops improvements to procedures and processes to satisfy system architecture requirements and streamline operations.
Serves as a business-wide leader in project execution and design of new or existing systems and/or applications
Conduct requirements gathering/design sessions for new functionality and customizations
Gathers and documents complex requirements for business needs and independently determines complex solution designs across multiple functional/systems/module areas
Translates negotiates and communicates architectural and development concepts across development teams
Develops project documentation including statements of work, detailed project plans, architecture designs, detailed implementation plans, deployment plans, project test plans, and operational training materials
Completes complex troubleshooting and is able to determine the appropriate course of action to deliver actionable results
Develops reliable solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business or another relevant field AND a minimum of 9 years relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Outstanding academics with the demonstrated ability to apply learned knowledge
Demonstrated experience in application server administration in Jboss, Websphere, Weblogic, and/or tc server
Demonstrated experience in the successful implementation of technology solutions
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in a large team or departmental setting
Advanced knowledge of infrastructure automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Salt or Chef).
Must possess excellent automation skills and the ability to drive initiatives to automate processes.
Expertise in Linux environments and scripting languages like Ruby, Python, Go and Shell

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Superior academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5 as a general rule)
Previous experience working in a team environment

The Client Systems Architect is a highly technical position responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, administration, security, maintenance and support of the Starz/Lionsgate Windows and Apple client/server environments. The Client Systems Architect is a key figure in setting policy and a subject matter expert on Windows and Apple Systems for end users. This position manages all packaging, compliance, life cycle and deployment for Windows and Apple applications. This position also architects, maintains and supports Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Microsoft InTune, JAMF, iOS, iPadOS, tvOS and Mobile environments. This position also mentors all other client system engineers and support engineers involved with Windows and Apple Client Systems. This role sets the roadmap for Windows and Apple Client systems at Starz and works in tandem with Lionsgate IT Engineers.

Responsibilities

Creating and maintaining a strategic vision for Windows and Apple client systems
Serve as a technical expert and will lead and work with users and technical peer groups
Function as team lead for Windows and Apple client environment, provide oversight on daily activities to set priorities, function as mentor, help with problem escalation, and communicate significant problems or issues to management
Participate in the identification of vulnerabilities and their mitigation
Participate in the analysis, design and implementation of future infrastructure systems and services
Create and maintain documentation on SOPs and system design
Research, evaluate, recommend and implement new technologies
Perform capacity planning, upgrades and expansion of Windows and Apple Client environments
Maintain effective communications with vendors, peers and clients in support of assigned projects
Execute change management activities supporting production deployments for projects and other changes
Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation

Qualifications & Skills

Strong experience in desktop engineering and endpoint system management, design, architecture experience with configuration and software delivery management systems including CMDB, SCCM, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and JAMF
Experience in Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy management and architecture
Strong experience with Windows and Apple client architectures and deployments
Experience in software packaging and software delivery methodologies
Experience creating, managing and deploying automated Windows and MacOS builds
Understand foundations of user experience management, performance testing, and application packaging
Enterprise patch management experience
Enterprise Mobile Device Management experience
Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to convey complex technical solutions to upper management in an easily digestible way.
Former Apple, Microsoft or JAMF employee experience is a plus.

About the Role

The Network Architect is responsible for the design, installation, configuration and administration of network operating system components, server-based software, and hardware. Optimizes, oversees, and supports business communications data and telephony networks including overlaying security technologies. In addition, the Network Engineer assists in other areas of business as it affects the infrastructure throughout the enterprise

Responsibilities

Requirements

Have 10 - 15 years of progressive experience

Experience in multiple network protocols and practical application in an enterprise networking environment.

In-depth knowledge of routing, switching and WAN services

Experience with router and switch configuration, firewall configuration

Experience with networking concepts, TCP/IP, sub netting, VLANs, WAN protocols (BGP, EIGRP, MPLS and OSPF).

Experience with Installing all new hardware, systems, and software for networks.

Experience with Installing, configuring, and maintaining network services, equipment, and devices.

Plans and supports network and computing infrastructure.

Performing troubleshooting analysis of servers, workstations, and associated systems.

Experience in understanding issues involved with administering and maintaining corporate infrastructure, including network connectivity, Internet access, email, etc.

Having a CCNA is recommended, CCNP preferred
