About the Opportunity
The role of this Senior Community Manager, Entrepreneurship is to cultivate and foster CGI's entrepreneurship community. This happens in two ways- first, the development of Commitments to Action designed to support entrepreneurs as part of the Inclusive Economics teams work; second, in the project management of CGI's Greenhouse program which recruits and supports an annual cohort of social entrepreneurs around the world and engages potential funders, venture capitalists, angel investors, and supporters.
The Senior Community Manager will recruit and maintain a network of leaders in the field, promoting innovative ideas and solutions, offering relevant programming at CGI meetings, and brokering connections between and among CGI partners. The Senior Manager will also support members by identifying potential partners and resources, advising on gaps and opportunities in the project concept, and bringing visibility to the project. After the Commitment to Action is developed and underway, the Senior Manager will work with members to obtain annual progress reports. The Senior Manager will also work closely with the other teams at CGI to plan and execute convenings.
The role will involve both domestic and international program development, commitments to action and support services.
The Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) convenes global and emerging leaders to create and implement solutions to the world's most pressing challenges. CGI works with partners to drive action through its unique model. Rather than directly implementing projects, CGI facilitates action by helping members connect, collaborate, and develop Commitments to Action — new, specific, and measurable plans that address global challenges.
